Athena is a 70-odd pound Lab Mix who might be characterized as four-legged licorice. Being as old as fourteen, however, streaks of grey appear, but only as close-ups. From a distance, she is not brindled, spotted, or polka-busy; she is black from top to bottom. Her disposition is as placid as valium. She moves only when motivated. And she will very likely perk up when you say her name.
