He is brown cat with a black tail and white chin and neck. He is not very friendly with strangers. He is 1.4 years old at this point. He was indoor only cat.

Knows his name and is very friendly and vocal. Was wearing a breakaway collar with a bell, but no tag or chip. We just got him and hadn’t gotten to any of the latter.

They sent information on how to entice him home, and we did EVERYTHING suggested. He’s home now and he’s the happiest cat to be home. Particularly valuable was the suggestion to set up a “home away from home” area as close as possible to the house and the door he left by (we used our kitchen porch) with food, water, and his familiar belongings, like his favorite bed and some of our dirty laundry for the scents. Looking for him at night with strong smelling food was the final piece of the puzzle. I put out deli chicken and he came when it got dark. I pushed the kitchen sliding door open. He RAN inside when he realized the door was open, and hasn’t been out since. Thank you everyone!! What a wonderful community you all are!!!!!Sep 9
