Update: still missing as of 5am 2/23 “Fig” may have escaped from my apmt at 505 N Arthur Ashe Blvd in the museum district around 5pm today. He is a black short hair neutered male. He wears a green color with a bow tie (pictured)—no tags or bells. He is microchipped! Fig has never been outside before and is likely very scared. Please call or text 5 1 6 6 5 5 6 4 1 4 if you have spotted him in the area! We are actively searching with his blanket, food, and litter set out in case he returns. There is an outdoor cat in the area that matches his description but wears a flea collar.

The poster that was created by Pet Radar was what was key. Once we printed it, we posted around the neighborhood. Seeing the poster, the neighbor recognized our cat in a tree in our neighborhood

We have been so grateful for the overwhelming support from neighbors and so many other people we’ve never met. They sent information on how to entice him home, and we did EVERYTHING suggested. He’s home now and he’s the happiest cat to be home. Particularly valuable was the suggestion to set up a “home away from home” area as close as possible to the house and the door he left by (we used our kitchen porch) with food, water, and his familiar belongings, like his favorite bed and some of our dirty laundry for the scents. Looking for him at night with strong smelling food was the final piece of the puzzle. I put out deli chicken and he came when it got dark. I pushed the kitchen sliding door open. He RAN inside when he realized the door was open, and hasn’t been out since. Thank you everyone!! What a wonderful community you all are!!!!!

Petradar got our doggo home!! A local man and sister picked him up and took amazing care of him. His nephew saw doggo on a PetRadar post and they contacted us immediately. We are so grateful both to them and PetRadar!!!

I got one lead from someone in my area from FB so the ads worked as they should. Poe came home just now through out garage that I left open with food and a bed. Your suggestions were spot on. I was hoping once it got dark again, he would return …and he did. Thank you for your help.
